Gift Guide 2011

I am so excited to be highlighting what I think are some fabulous finds for the foodie in your life. This is the first holiday gift guide for Insatiable and I hope to make this a yearly tradition.  The gifts below are ones I just can't live without and I hope you are inspired to include some of them in your gift giving this season.  Many reflect my belief that living a greener lifestyle is possible and choosing organic and fair trade products are important.  Whether your friends and families share these  values, it is a great way to encourage others, through the gifts you choose to give.

This is a fun and delicious gift that the kids will love. Make Popsicles in as little as 7-9 minutes in this Quick Pop Maker.  The Zoku doesn't use electricity and is BPA and phalate free.  Shown above in the single, Zoku is also available in the triple version.  Available at Mastermind Toys

  1. Around this time of year I head off to the grocery store and stock up on specialty crackers, good quality cheeses and proscuitto and salami, jars of olives and red peppers, and roasted nuts like almonds. I store it carefully in the fridge and when guest suddenly appear, I am 5 minutes away from a beautiful, effortless appetizer tray.

  2. Nicole: I love putting nuts and holiday candies in martini glasses throughout the house when guests are over during the holiday season.

  3. I love raclette for entertaining. It's unique yet easy. Boil potatos, cut strips of beef, chicken and veggies and the yummy cheese - traditional yet hearty. We always finish with a liggt friluit salad and tray of good chocolates.

And thanks for highlighting the people towels - I need to check that out

  4. Andrea, I love your gift guide! these items are awesome, each in it's own way. And all are perfect for the holidays.
My holiday entertaining tip is: Appetizers, Appetizers, Appetizers!!! There are so many amazing finger food ideas out there, and so many interesting items that come out for the holidays that you can use to make them (eg: Black Label by President's Choice). I think finger foods and/or appetizers are an amazing idea for a care free and light party. The idea of being able to mingle at a party during the holidays is very appealing to me.

  5. I love the ABEEGO FLAT WRAPS these look really cool and useful. I would like to see some recipes for drinks - I like making punch when we have a group of people over and make the same one's over and over- any new idea's?? Margot

  6. My favourite entertaining tip for the holiday season is to buy a big cheese spread, box of crackers, and some sort of meat. Put them nicely over a platter and let the guests dig in!
